This family-friendly event will once again transform the historic Willem Prinsloo grounds into a hive of activity with over 75 stalls, handcrafted goods, and unique art on display. Start Your Engines!
Kick off your morning with the nostalgic roar of engines as the Pretoria Old Motor Club launches its annual 200 km Mampoer Rally at 09h00. These veteran cars are a sight to behold and give festivalgoers a glimpse into motoring history.
For adrenaline junkies, World of Motorsport’s off-road rally cars will be tearing up the track with impressive sprint demonstrations, showcasing speed and skill. The BeetleManiacs invite all Beetle and Kombi owners to join in, while Pretoria Caravans and Camping will showcase caravans, trailers, and camping gear.
Live Heritage in Action
The day is packed with traditional entertainment:
- Join the Voortrekkers for energetic Boeredanse
- Witness the thrilling Sweepklap (whiplash) exhibition
- Blade making
Children will be spoilt for choice with a dedicated kids’ area featuring a petting zoo, face painting, jumping castles, pony rides, Boeresport games, arcade games, ox wagon rides, and exciting treasure hunts.
Raise a Glass and Relax
As the day rolls on, grab a drink—be it beer, whiskey, or, of course, a warming shot of mampoer—and settle in for more fun. Don’t miss:
- The hilarious Boerdra n Vrou competitions
- Horse demonstrations, archery on horseback and horse riding
- A parade of majestic antique tractors in the arena
The Highveld Veteran Tractor Club will also run fascinating displays of mealie meal threshing and vintage engine workings—true to the roots of traditional South African farming life.
And for those needing a break, hop aboard an antique tractor and trailer to tour the grounds in rustic style.
