Oliewenhuis Art Museum Announces Valentine’s Couples Competition 2026


Win a romantic night under the stars at the Canvas and Cupid Event

Bloemfontein, South Africa – Oliewenhuis Art Museum is delighted to announce the launch of its Valentine’s Couples Competition 2026, offering three lucky couples the opportunity to experience an unforgettable evening of art, romance and picnicking on Friday, 13 February 2026.

This exclusive competition invites couples to share a heartfelt and inspiring reason why they deserve a magical Valentine’s celebration. The three winning couples will receive tickets to the highly anticipated Canvas and Cupid event, a one-of-a-kind experience that combines art, a romantic picnic under the stars, and an evening of dancing in a magical outdoor setting. Winning couples will also enjoy a fully stocked picnic basket valued at over R1 000.

How to Enter:
Couples are invited to submit a short paragraph (no more than 200 words) explaining why they deserve to win this special experience. Entries must be submitted via the online form, available at:

The competition is open to individuals aged 18 years and older. The closing date for entries is Sunday, 8 February 2026 at 00:00. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, and will be notified directly by Oliewenhuis Art Museum.

Important Information:

  • Only individuals aged 18 years or older may enter.
  • The competition closes at 00:00 on 8 February 2026.
  • No late entries will be accepted.
  • The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Staff members of the National Museum and its satellites, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.
  • Prizes do not include transport to and from Oliewenhuis Art Museum.
