Nomination of candidates to serve on the council of The Market Theatre Foundation

In terms of the Cultural Institutions Act, 1998 (Act 119 of 1998), the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Mr G Mckenzie invites members of the performing arts (Playhouse/Theatres) fraternity and the public to nominate persons to serve as members of Council of the following Performing Arts Institution (Cultural Institution):

The Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Mr. Gayton McKenzie hereby affords an opportunity to the members of the public to make objections, if any, on persons nominated to serve as Council members of the National Arts Council (NAC) in terms of the National Arts Council Act, 1997 (Act No. 56 of 1997).

Proposals are hereby requested for projects in Human Language Technologies (HLT) for the development of innovative projects that seek to integrate language and technology in all the official South African languages.

Funding is available for projects over a period of one to three years for the Financial Years 2025/26, 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29.

The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture invites applications for bursaries from tertiary students from institutions accredited and registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training who wish to pursue studies in heritage related programmes.

Closing date for applications: 31 January 2025.
