Deputy Minister Mabe to launch the South African library week 2025 in Limpopo
The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, Deputy Minister Peace invites the members of the media to the official launch of South African Library Week 2025 under the theme: "Libraries for Sustainable Communities."
Hosted in collaboration with the Library and Information Association of South Africa (LIASA), the launch will highlight the transformative role of libraries in fostering sustainability, inclusivity, and accessibility while supporting education and technological development. Libraries serve as hubs for lifelong learning, cultural engagement, and social cohesion.
Prior the official launch, the Deputy Minister will also pay a special visit to the Litshovhu Secondary School on Friday, 14th of March at 07h30. During the visit, Deputy Minister Mabe will engage the learners on the significance of the South African Library Week, as well as to instil the spirit of patriotism as part of national identity programme.
