Minister McKenzie to attend Premiere of Greens & Gold Documentary showcasing South Africa’s LIV Golf Team
The Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, will attend the premiere of Greens & Gold: A Lekker South African Sports Story on 7 December 2025 at Steyn City. The documentary offers an inside look at Stinger GC, South Africa’s LIV Golf team, and follows their journey through a challenging and eventful 2025 season.
Created by the award-winning production team behind Chasing the Sun, the series tracks the experiences of Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace, Charl Schwartzel and Dean Burmester both on tour and behind the scenes. It highlights the team’s unity, their humour under pressure, and the pride they carry as South Africans competing on a global stage. Minister McKenzie also features in the production, adding context
to the team’s growing influence within the sporting landscape.
The five-part series airs on SuperSport on 14 December 2025 at 17:00 CAT, with an advance screening at Steyn City a week earlier. The premiere will be attended by the four Stinger GC players. The documentary arrives ahead of Steyn City’s hosting of a major LIV Golf event in March 2026. Minister McKenzie regards the film as a powerful tribute to South African sporting excellence and the teamwork, resilience and national pride that define the country’s athletes.
