Over and above CCIFSA, Minister McKenzie and Dep Minister Mabe went on to meet with with other stakeholders including South African United Cultural & Creative Industries Federation (SAUCCIF) under the guidance of Ms Sbongile Mngoma, Trade Union Musician of South Africa (TUMSA), South African Arts and Culture Youth Forum (SAACYF), Afrikaans Taal Museum (ATM), National Arts Council (NAC), National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) to mention a few.
Objective of Ministers engagements with the above mentioned role players remained the same (i.e.) meet an greet followed by understanding their primary challenges and ultimately their proposed solutions. Minister, Dep Minister Mabe and Department executive team listened with key interest and noted the Minister way forward.
Minister McKenzie in his closing remarks outlined his vision and acknowledge all stakeholders inputs and challenges. Minister McKenzie then issued an instruction to his DSAC Executive team to urgently convene the creative sector Stakeholders Indaba where all role players within the industry will be able to forge alignment and create an enabling enviroment for the growth and betterment of the sector and this should take place within 45 days.
